Barbican- Why to Take a Visit!

As soon as I stepped into the building I felt the typical pre-performance buzz everywhere. Children, teens and adults alike moved from one place to another helped by brilliant and enthusiastic staff! 

Performances range from plays for a young audience to Shakespeare- even with David Tennant as Richard II. Workshops and concerts are also included. The building, both modern and striking holds not only theatres but a fantastic library which I treated myself to a free membership! 

The library holds classics, plays, horror, fiction, non-fiction and many more! Audios, CDs and even pianos for you to silently practice on! It truly is a treat for any literature lover. 

The barbican is also a great walking distance from the Moorgate station, the Guildhall's new centre and the magnificent river side which is even more stunning in the summer!

You must, whether you have five minutes or five hours, make a trip to the Barbican.    I wouldn't say it's a once in a lifetime opportunity because I wish you the good fortune of seeing this marvellous place over and over again!
